Traveling and Swimming at 30 weeks

Sometimes pregnancy seems to take forever and with the summer heat, days become even harder to bear! When given the opportunity to go out of town, I quickly asked for clearance from the OB. I said I would travel to and from Bataan (even farther than Subic) in one day.

Our destination: Anvaya Cove for the Neutrogena Summer Event

I dragged my husband with me to the event for safety in case anything happens like an unusual contraction from a bumpy ride. Although we were asleep for around 2 hours, I woke up to a real hard tummy while inside the van. The ride was getting bumpy as we reached Subic so I tried to calm myself down with some food and water.

Travel to Anvaya Cove is 3 hours and like any pregnant woman, my bladder was full and ready to erupt before we even reached the place. What helped me through it all was changing positions, putting my feet up and down, and shifting my hips from side to side. It is also important to take the uterine relaxant like Isoxilan 6 hours before travel time.

Anvaya Cove was lovely, we rode golf carts and went swimming in the beach and in their majestic pools. I checked right away with the OB if I should take another dose of a relaxant as my tummy seems to have grown harder from the travel. So I took another dose and that has cleared all my worries away. I am not even sure if it was just paranoia that made me think my tummy was harder than usual.

And my pregnant swimwear made it in time 🙂

We also enjoyed their food like pasta, sandwiches, and their healthy buffet of fresh steamed veggies and even made our own halo-halo. The event was surely great as I got to hang out with fellow bloggers and mommies alike. I will share more on what we learned that day on the next post 🙂
