After giving birth, at the back of the heads of many new moms are several types of contraception in order to maintain their family’s size. Not that you are not happy with your new bundle of joy but because you want to be able to fulfill every need of the family like food, shelter, and education.
Personally I’ve thought of getting my tubes tied because I was thinking of all the price increase and inflation rates soaring. Not to forget tuition fees and the wish to give my son as much as what my mom has provided for me. Yet family planning is really a hard decision and I think I need to read more. Then there’s also me kidding my husband of getting a vasectomy. I mean I already underwent childbirth so why not vasectomy for him eh?
A lot of couples are deciding on these, some happy with their decisions while some are with regrets. What if you suddenly want another child right? While reading up on this on the Internet, I chanced upon information about tubal ligation and vasectomy reversal. I didn’t know these were possible until now and micro-technology makes reversal even more successful.
Because a part of me is a frustrated doctor, I would like to discuss how having your tubal ligation or vasectomy reversed is better than having an IVF or Invitro Fertilization. I read many success stories wherein some patients were able to bear children again just after 1 month of surgery. Before, reversals are considered to be a major surgery but I think some doctors are now able to do this procedure in their own clinics. Some reported that after two months, sperm will begin to reappear.
Tubal Ligation reversal is another story, basically the tubes are unclamped and any devices blocking the tubes will be removed. This procedure has a longer recovery time of around 4-6 weeks according to my reading x.x
