Home and Living: Ashton’s Shopping Day at Baby Company, Spin! and Powerplant Mall

I was smart enough to schedule Ashton’s shopping day on a Monday, when everyone should be at work and the malls are not as busy. I even chose to do the shopping and a bit of grocery in Rockwell, Powerplant Mall where I frequent for peace and quiet. It was even quieter today except for Jollibee.

Our agenda was to visit Baby Company because Ashton and I missed the Grand Baby Fair (but my husband didn’t). Though the prices were back to normal, I was happy to get Ashton new DVDs and toys, including staples like his baby wipes and diapers. We were early to arrive at 11am and I bet we were the first to enter the store. Such a breeze to shop here where I don’t have to fall in line or go back and fort to find items I need, want, or like to browse.

New Brainy Baby Videos (total count of Brainy Baby at home = 6). This is my handy companion when I need a few minutes to sort things in the kitchen or fix Ashton’s toys. My little boy always concentrates on the video and it gets him preoccupied for some time.

Moms should know that summer wear for babies now available at Baby Company. This includes rash guards, wet suits, and bathing suits for little girls. There was a mom who asked if they had salbabida or floaters. They don’t, and I wish they do.

Since the kiddie floor in Powerplant Mall is amazing, they also have Spin from the Big & Small Co. Here is where I got some new clothes for my Mr. Pogi as well as his rash guard for swimming. I am VERY excited to set Ashton out in the water 🙂 We even watched this new teleserye about mermaids earlier.

We also visited Toys R’ Us where we brought a robot for our neighbor kid who likes to borrow Ashton’s robot. Toys R’ Us are amazing, I told the staff  “I am looking for a robot, it is cheap, and it says Fire! Fire!”. Immediately a staff made the toy appear in front of me. I wish all toy stores train their staff lto be knowledgeable with their products like Toys R’ Us.

My Aunt Yeyey was with us and she enjoyed having her photo taken with Feng Shui decors. She is fascinated with feng shui, we even made a stop to this hotel to buy charms but we didn’t have a very good experience in the shop. Anyway, I also love Powerplant Mall because I get to do my grocery in peace at Rustan’s. I bought pork belly and cooked it ala lechon kawali at home. I also went home with Chinese food which I plan to serve on Chinese New Year (February 2). They were also available at Powerplant Mall at P1 level where they also hold the baker’s fair.

Looking forward to come back here with Ashton and his dad. The Cibo on the kiddie floor is cute! I’ve made a vow to limit shopping trips, malls and crowdy places – they stress me out (and Ashton too). I wouldn’t want to be such a hermit though.  Hence, I am OC with planning our day outs and extremely happy when my plans go well. I am becoming a real mom.
