Home and Living: Mother’s Day Wishlist

This will be my first Mother’s Day as an actual mom and even I don’t know when the exact date for the occasion is. What I know are a list of things I wish for which could also translate to the best things you can give your own mom and wife, or even wedding anniversary gift ideas.

1. A relaxing day – we love our babies but wish someone can let us have ME time. Maybe dads can mind the babies during Mother’s Day and actually let moms get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

2. A pleasant surprise – it could be a nice well-made breakfast, flowers, a printed framed photo of us and the baby, or just a cup of hot coffee to great us in the morning. I can’t believe how busy moms can be, whether working or not and a pleasant surprise can give us that much needed energy to continue our roles.

3. A quick practical getaway – this one will make my heart jump. Imagine waking up in the morning with breakfast served and an announcement that you are off to your favorite spa or hotel. It could even be a getaway inside the house, yes! With the correct arrangements, you can transform a room into a spa haven. Book for a home massage for your wife and setup the room with relaxing music and soothing scents.

4. Lastly, a fabulous dinner with dessert – don’t forget the coffee. I wish I don’t have to cook for mother’s day and I want a hearty steak meal! Ooh lala, a glass of my favorite mojito which I haven’t had for two years now (breastfeeding) would be awesome.
