Unlike the frozen kind, these chicken nuggets use real chicken meat. They only take about an hour to cook and you can dip them in honey, ketchup, or garlic-mayo.
1/2 kilo chicken breast fillet cut into big bite pieces
3 slices of stale white bread (or any other bread you have)
Salt & Pepper
Pre-heat oven to 180C or between 4 and 5 on the gas mark.
So, first we will prepare the breadcrumbs. This is a great way to get rid of your leftover bread, toast them until they are just crunchy but not brown. Throw them in the food processor to make crumbs.
In a bowl, scoop some mayonnaise. Dip the cut chicken fillet pieces one by one and roll into the bread crumbs. Place on a greased baking pan.
Before putting them in the oven, dash the nuggets with salt and pepper. You can also incorporate some grated parmesan cheese if you have them in the pantry. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
Now this is the real healthy chicken nugget!
