Reason for getting a Thermalift
I am naturally born with chubby cheeks, and now that I have lost weight in other areas of the body – I feel like I can use a little help from science when it comes to stubborn facial fat. It’s not only my cheeks but my double chin – or maybe what’s left of my double chin after switching to a healthy lifestyle and losing weight, read: sagging skin.

Last April, I went to Dra. Kaycee Reyes’ clinic at Luminisce BGC to get a ThermaLift. I’ve been reading about the technology and watched it hailed on TV shows like Oprah as the “lunch time face lift”.
From my understanding, ThermaLift can destroy fat cells, rejuvenate collagen, and tighten the skin. This gives patients a youthful appearance. I’m already 30 and looking back at my photos, I can see my brows, cheeks, and eyes starting to sag. This is also a result of stress, bad eating habits (sugar), and not getting enough exercise.
On the other hand, I also think that my weight loss is a factor in the loss of facial volume. The benefits of Thermalift match my reasons for getting it done.
Procedure: ThermaLift is Non-Invasive
The treatment lasts from 40mins to 1 hour. It does not need topical anesthetics. First, your skin will be marked with a grid.
Then, the doctor will perform the laser treatment. No needles, knives, or anything. It is best if you keep calm and relaxed. Of course, I also got nervous and anticipated all kinds of things but the ThermaLift was performed by a real doctor, Dra. Kaycee Reyes and at least two nurses were also in the room to assist.
Pain
The feeling is like a combination of very mild heat and electric current. Patients are advised to take mefenamic acid 500mg 30 minutes before thermalift. There is some discomfort but nothing unbearable in the name of beauty. Dr. Kaycee Reyes asked me frequently if I’m still comfortable or not. You will have the option to increase/decrease the level of the machine. Of course, if you can get it to the optimum level then you will see better results.

Post-treatment
The face will feel very tight and I was very happy about this. You can see immediate results but Thermalift continues to work and provide gradual results from 2 to 6 months. This motivated me to have a healthy diet and workout regularly.
Update February 2016: This is me now and I can say I have successfully maintained the results of Thermalift 🙂
In my view, these treatments are a fast track to improving ourselves but it’s up to patients to maintain the results and keep them.
