One of my favorite saving and frugal tips is buying store brand products, I’ve written about SM Bonus before but this year – I challenged myself to go generic on some personal care and toiletries for my family. Have you switched to Watsons Label products?
Watsons Liquid Hand Soap P149 Buy 1 Take 1
Their buy 1 take 1 Watsons Liquid Hand Soap are a mainstay in my kitchen sink. My favorite scent is the strawberries & cream hand soap. It smells and feels expensive but they are just P75 each considering you get 2 for the price of P149 only. I think many of us have this in our kitchens and bathrooms, do you also hoard when they are on sale? Sometimes, the buy 1 take 1 deals are not available.

Watsons Botanical Shampoo P159 Buy 2 Take 1
I already have this in my bathroom but not yet tried. I bought it because it is cheaper than the branded family shampoo I am using plus, I am trying to switch to more natural and organic products. Watsons Botanical Shampoo also reminds me of Clairol. If you remember, this botanical shampoo was popular in the 90’s but for some reason is no longer available.
Watsons Invigorating Body Lotion P129 Buy 1 Take 1
Since turning 30, my skin becomes easily dry even when I am not in an air conditioned room. So one of the most used personal care item is body lotion. I am using a more popular brand that is around P80 but this one from Watsons is only P65 each since it’s on buy 1 take 1 promo.
The brand I am using has the same scent (cucumber) which is very refreshing, I’d like to save more money on lotions so will be switching to the Watsons brand lotion and save P15 every time! I regret not buying this when I took the above photo but hopefully it will still be in stock when I return, note that the Watsons Sale is until March 2016.
Watsons Anti-Ageing Milk & Salt Scrub P99 each
I am interested to try this after seeing “luxury baths” being advertised on TV but aside from bathing with perfumed liquid bath soaps, I think we can also give ourselves a luxurious spa level body scrub and just for P99. I found two variants: carrot and avocado.
One Watsons shopper bought a similar Watsons label body scrub and guess what, because she switched to Watsons – she did not only save money but also won a brand new iPhone 6. Watch below:
We may not all win an iPhone 6 like her but still, every time we buy store brands (provided they meet your standard of quality), we save money for ourselves and our family. Right now, I am saving for our 2016 “adventure fund” so that I can enjoy traveling with my husband and son without any worries on budgeting – especially now that summer is near.

If you are up to speed on beauty treatments, you must have already heard of collagen drinks, collagen fillers, collagen injections etc. These all sound expensive and especially if you want to trial them first. Watsons has its own line of anti-aging Collagen products you can try:

Another product I’d love to try is Glutathione and according to the Watsons saleslady, Watsons has its own Glutathione supplements too.
