Hi-5 Fairytale Experience at Resorts World Manila

Like many kids, my son is a huge fan of Hi-5 since he was a baby. Now he’s already 6 and we still watch the show every morning, afternoon, and evening – thanks to Disney Junior! And just in time for Christmas, Hi-5 visited Manila to treat fans to a Hi-5 Fairy Tale experience at the Newport Theater of Resorts World Manila.

We chose the December 17 show in the afternoon. I got three tickets for myself, Ashton, and my aunt Helen – the more the merrier!

Christmas Display and Grand Fiesta Activities at Resorts World Manila

Before the show, we checked out the amazing Christmas displays and attractions at the activity center of the Newport Mall. This includes the moving Christmas display, we think it’s really beautiful and unique.

A Christmas Bazaar was also happening and we browsed through all the interesting food fare, Christmas gifts, and other trinkets from the different booths.

Also in Resorts World is the traditional Pinoy Jeepney exhibit that happens every year for RWM’s Grand Fiesta.  My son and my aunt really enjoyed all the photo ops with all the artfully painted jeepneys.

Lunch at Maxim’s Cafe

We made sure we were early to beat the traffic and avoid being late for the 2.30PM show. That meant leaving the house without lunch, so we checked out Maxim’s Cafe. They are promoting this Christmas Pork Confit (P460) and is good for sharing. We also ordered the Seafood Chowder, I forgot the price and some extra rice. These were good for the three of us.

It’s been a long time since I last dined here at Maxim’s Cafe and now I remember how relaxing it is with the comfy seats, spacious location, service, and very good wifi! We enjoyed our lunch leisurely and we finished just in time for the show.

Hi-5 Fairytale Show Experience

The show started promptly at 2.30PM, everything was so organized – no long lines and security was also great. Our ticket was in the Gold section, not so near but it offered a perfect view for us since Ashton is not so crazy about dancing with other kids. He likes to concentrate while watching.

I’m so happy to see my son smiling and hearing him laugh throughout the show. My son is now 6 and I am guessing it might be the last time he will like to watch shows like this with me. The show lasted about 2 hours with a halftime break. Newport Theater’s stage was huge, high-tech, and everything looks new and clean. This added to our memorable Hi-5 Fairytale experience.

After the show, my son said he enjoyed it because of the visual effects, new story, and most of all – new songs and dances that were performed. As for me, I really enjoyed when Hi-5 performed one of my favorite Hi-5 songs – LOVE.

Game Zoo

It’s been years since we last visited Game Zoo, back then it was really huge and there were lots of quality games to be enjoyed. I bought a P200 game card and when we went up to the game area, we were surprised at how small and segmented this area has become. The branded touch screen games were also gone, Ashton almost had no game to play.

We wanted to leave happy so decided to go for another activity – afternoon tea!

Afternoon Tea at Maxim’s Cafe

All three of us including my aunt were all hyped and excited after the show. I decided we all need to settle down and enjoy the afternoon tea I read from Maxim’s Cafe. I also wanted to give my aunt a different experience. When I was young as Ashton, she took care of me until now and back then – she would accompany me to kiddie shows like this.

My aunt super impressed with Maxim’s Cafe Afternoon Tea P699

Ashton enjoyed picking out what to enjoy, here he is devouring one of the cakes.

For me, I found the ginger tea really healthy and beneficial plus it went very well with all the pastries and mini sandwiches. Perfect ending just like a fairytale! We felt like prince and princesses.

This is not the first time we had a nice family experience at Resorts World Manila, we look forward to more family-fun activities in 2017.

Merry Christmas, Mommy and Kids!
