Are you a fan of delicious, fresh, and healthy Vietnamese food? We are! And I know that there’s only a few Vietnamese restaurants in the city to choose from. The good news is Annam Noodle Bar just opened in Resorts World Manila.

Annam is brought to the Philippines by the popular NamNam Noodle Bar in Singapore. The only difference is the name they had to use for the Philippines but it’s the same delicious Pho, Banh Mi, and Vietnamese Rice Meals inspired by the old-world Vietnamese street food with a modern twist.

What to Order at Annam Noodle Bar

While it’s easy to order the usual fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce dip, Annam Noodle Bar restaurant’s interior style and feel are very encouraging to try something new.

It’s easy to imagine that you are in a different place and must take your appetite to a new adventure.

Annam’s menu is exciting with all the choices of appetizers, banh mi sandwiches, pho noodle soups, and Viet desserts too!

Selection of Viet street snacks, nước chấm, P280 – this sampler is recommended to enjoy as your appetizer. It’s good for sharing and has at least 4 kinds of fried rolls. The dip is delicious but you can customize with Annam’s signature fish and hoisin sauces.

Lemon Grass Ginger Iced Tea P150 – the drink is super fresh, herb-y, and reminds me of my favorite ginger tea or salabat. I like that it’s not made too sweet and is very light to enjoy with the all the dishes.

Twice cooked Australian beef brisket, fried egg P250 – Annam’s banh mi or toasted baguettes are stuffed with savoury meats, chicken pate, mayonnaise, hot chilli peppers, pickled carrots, daikon, cucumber and fresh cilantro. This baguette is generously big and can easily be shared by two persons especially if you still want to enjoy one of their fragrant rice meals.

Crispy fried turmeric chicken, steamed egg meatloaf P340 – my favorite item I’ve ever tasted at Annam is this rice meal. Their rice by itself is so flavorful I am guessing it has “bagoong” or maybe their famous NamNam fish sauce. It is served on a banana leaf with tomatoes which is a familiar Filipino way of food presentation but the flavors are very different from ours. Hints of turmeric and other spices give the chicken a genuine Vietnamese flavor and it’s also my first time to encounter their very fluffy, light but tasty steamed egg.

Pho Australian beef steak slices P340 – order this Hanoi Pho with your fragrant rice meal. This noodle soup is served with medium rare beef steak slices that are very soft and almost melt in your mouth yet it’s just P340 per bowl. The serving is good for 3-4 persons and what I enjoyed most is playing with the soup’s flavor by adding Annam’s fish sauce, hoisin sauce, and chili sauce!

We dined during Annam’s soft opening and understandably, the staff were still adjusting and a little slow. I decided we’ll try the Viet desserts next time but my mouth was really watering for these:

Annam Noodle Bar is just one more reason to visit Resorts World Manila. It’s a great addition to new dining concepts found at the Newport Mall. The great thing is that the new Skyway from Cavitex to Resorts World Manila is now open making this location super near and traffic-free for people coming from the south like us.
