Are you a fan of tapsilog? Tapa served with fried rice and egg were my favorite to eat during pregnancy! At the Knorr Tapa Fiesta held at SMX SM Aura, over 100 Tapa Recipes were prepared by 10 renowned chefs, all inspired by the famous tapsilog.

The tapa dishes prepared used Knorr Liquid Seasoning, especially in marinating the tapa meat. For many of us, we use beef meat in making our own versions of tapa or beef steak but for the Knorr Tapa Fiesta, the creative chefs used different mediums to communicate the tapa flavor we all love. Some chefs used chicken, pork, mushrooms, and tofu marinated in “KLS” – their term for Knorr Liquid Seasoning.
Similar to my experience during the Best Pinoy Street Food, visitors at the Knorr Tapa Fiesta got to choose tapa dishes that they like to taste and enjoy. I couldn’t eat all 100 but I think I chose six tapa dishes. Of all the tapa recipes, this is what I liked the most:
Mother-in-law’s Tapa
This tapa dish is made by Chef Christian Carpo. He is the executive chef of St. Luke’s Medical Center – Bonifacio Global City.
Unlike the usual tapsilog, Mother-in-Law’s Tapa is served on a stick enjoyed with java rice and a serving of atsara. The dish was different but at the same time, is not too far from the tapa that is familiar to our taste buds. This dish inspires me to finally try and cook tapa for my family. For starters, I will follow this Beef Tapa Recipe from Knorr.
