Just in time for Christmas, the newest Toys R’ Us opened at the 3rd floor of the new Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City. One of the advantages of toy shopping at Toys R’ Us Uptown Mall is its more relaxed and family friendly environment.
I learned about the store’s opening from my mommy friends on Facebook whose kids are Star Wars fans just like Ashton. This weekend we were in BGC and decided to drop by.
The Uptown Mall branch is not as bustling with shoppers compared to other toy stores BUT, the range of toys and choices is the same – if not better because of the mall’s target market. For instance, Toys R’ Us Uptown Mall is the most updated when it comes to Star Wars Rogue Wars toys and merchandise.

Ashton is so curious about this huge Star Wars toy box which I guess contains a mega size X wing or Tie Fighter.
Toys R Us is also celebrating their 10th anniversary and in time for Christmas, are running generous sales & discounts on toys. Just like these Star Wars Lego Sets.
Star Wars Rogue Wars Micro Machines at Toys R Us Uptown Mall
Star Wars Rogue Wars Micro machines are affordable around P300, so we agreed to buy it. My son has other Star Wars mico machines and I recommend it because kids can spend a lot of time role-playing or making stories with these Star Wars mini-figures. In one box, you usually get 3 pcs.
Download the StarWars Studio Effects App (as seen on the box) so your child will enjoy the mini-figures even more and spend more time playing with the toys.
Gadget-Free Family Fun & Games at Toys R Us Uptown Mall
If you’re like me who wants to promote gadget-free time with the family, you should try bringing home some of these toys. Ashton and I started a mini game library that is similar to what trendy cafes have (interactive old-school games that we grew up with like Connect 4, Battle Ship, Master Mind, etc.)
Connect 4 by Hasbro – we already have this and it’s one of the firsts we bought a few months ago. It can be played by two players and whoever connects 4 of the same colored dots wins. We enjoy playing this game every night. We also have the Grab & Go version of Hungry Hippo. All of the Grab & Go games of Hasbro come in handy size and shape, uniform box size that is easy to stack & carry anywhere. That’s why we like it.
Trouble Game by Hasbro – this is our new find & buy at Toys R Us Uptown Mall, looks like an easy game to play for mother/father and child without too many pieces too.
Bingo Lotto Game – all for family fun, nice to have and play this Christmas with relatives too. Boredom proof your Noche Buena 🙂
Snakes and Ladder – one of the easiest board games, make sure you have this in your toy library to enjoy with your kids, family, and friends.
Parents like me will love this Family Fun & Games zone at Toys R Us, so many new board games too. It’s also the first time I noticed the Pavillion brand of toys that carry board games, chess sets, tumbling towers, and more. I am on the look out for a very good chess set that me and my husband can play together.
There are a total of 7 super organized zones in Toys R Us Uptown Mall, BGC. Boys and girls toys also have their own area which cuts your shopping and browsing time and makes it a more enjoyable shopping experience for the whole family.

Old school walkie talkie – when we were kids, I always wanted to have these and enjoyed receiving pair to play with my friends and sisters. Let’s allow our children to experience the same wonder of an old-school walkie talkie toy!
Science & Physics Kit – is your child starting to get interested in building things, robotics, or science in general? I found this Science & Physics Kit that’s just around P500. It will teach children to build simple machines with gears, levers, and pulleys that they will build themselves with the materials inside.
Crayola Meltdown Art Set – most of our kids would have seen this on YouTube and it’s here in Toys R Us Uptown Mall!

We had a very pleasant shopping and bonding experience at Toys R Us and we hope to visit again when we’re around BGC. Maybe we’ll do our Christmas shopping here for Ashton’s classmates and our kiddie friends. Since it’s not packed with shoppers and is very organized, shopping at Toys R Us Uptown Mall is an enjoyable experience for kids and adults alike.
