I promised to write about how to spend a family day at Ayala Triangle and here goes! 🙂 I am not an expert planner but with family day-outs, it is highly recommended to have a plan and itinerary that every member will enjoy. You also decided on what time is the best time to go to a certain place, taking into consideration the weather, crowd, and attractions.
At Ayala Triangle, it is best to arrive there around 3-4PM. We planned everything around the Christmas Lights Show that happens daily at 6PM. This has been extended until December 30.
Upon arriving and with the sun still up, it was a great time to take lots of family photos inside the Ayala Triangle Park. So be sure to bring your handy dandy cameras and give it to your techie husbands! With all the photos we took of each other, our trip to the place was already worth it.If you want a relaxing time then lug in your Lecteurs MP3 too.
Before the sunset, we took everyone to Bon Chon chicken. It was me and my husband’s second time there and we still had finger licking (sorry KFC) good time. For 4 persons, I recommend the mixed chicken box that comes with 3 pieces of chicken wings and 3 pieces of chicken legs. To be friendly with everyone’s palette, order the soy garlic flavor. I also ordered 2 packs of rice to share and a box of fries. For the record, we were 4 persons during our day out.
If you are on a budget, like most moms, you can request for in house water for drinks or even better, bring your own refillable water bottles. This way, you’re sure what your children drinks. While some family members are still eating, some may opt for a stroll to digest the food 🙂 I joined my aunt and Ashton and took videos and photos of them (again). I also managed to squeeze in some bank errands as my bank had a branch inside the Ayala Stock Exchange.
After the hearty meal, I took everyone to Golden Spoon Yogurt place and tried two flavors. We shared because I am sure 1:1 ratio will have lots of leftovers. This place also has its own restroom so you can use this to freshen up before the show. Inside this joint, we talked more and reviewed the photos, videos and discussed how Bon Chon tasted 🙂
Nearby is a Banapple which was quiet packed with customers. Their bestselling Banoffee Pie is a must try so I took my sister with me to order some cake slices for take away. This also solves the problem of what to eat upon arriving home from the heavy traffic. It also made for another fun and delicious midnight snack with the family.
Before we knew it, the show was about to start so we headed out to the lights show at 6PM.
All of us enjoyed the show, it was not just for kids but for grown-ups too! Yet, even when the show is over – I would still recommend this venue for a relaxing day with the kids. There are plenty of greens for them to play on, they can bike, wear their roller shoes, or just play hide and seek with you.
I long for the day when there are more parks like this in the Philippines. I am planning to go next to Luneta Park and catch the Lights & Fountain show there. Though I am concerned about security and if there are good restrooms and dining places.
