Our small aquaponic system is now 5 months old and the aquaponic tomatoes have grown big and with lots of fruits! I am also growing tomatoes on soil but these ap tomatoes are a lot bigger and plumper.
Compared to tomatoes grown on soil, the ap tomatoes set very well – meaning no fruit scars and other deformities. Note aquaponics mean growing plants with fish waste as their main source of nutrients.
I also observed that almost all flowers turn into fruits. Tomatoes like lots of water and is perfect for aquaponics!
