Bath time is just one of the many simple joys my little boy and I enjoy. I am lucky Ashton seems to love water and bathing, I never had a hard time giving him a head to toe bath. We’ve been using just one brand of baby shampoo and body wash but this week, we tried another product – this time, from Avon.
Just recently, Avon gave birth to three baby products which are all hypo-allergenic and, dye and paraben free. Avon Baby head-to-toe wash, Avon Baby moisturizing lotion, and Avon Baby soothing oil. Personally, I’ve been thinking why Avon has not penetrated the baby market and it looks like they’ve read my thoughts 🙂 Afterall, they’ve been taking care of women so this time, Avon is also taking care of our little bundle of joys.
The first product Ashton and I tried from Avon Baby is their head-to-toe wash. It comes in gel form without too much fragrance compared to other brands. According to some moms, less fragrance means less harm to baby. Yet, I think you need to squeeze more product onto your palm to make a decent lather. Avon Baby’s wash produces less bubbles than I am used to. Maybe it really is gentler, that’s why 🙂
What I love about the product is how it kept Ashton fresh all day long. He gets easily a bit sticky all over because of the humid weather. But when I used Avon Baby, my 3 month old’s skin was super soft and smooth for a longer period of time. It also prevented his hair from clumping up together because of the natural oil his body produces. After I gave him a bath, I couldn’t resist hugging and cuddling him the whole day.
Compared to other brands though, Avon Baby doesn’t give off the baby smell I am used to. I love smelling my baby’s head and it was a bit unusual for me not to smell anything. This could be a good thing though because it means little or no residue of the product on our babies. I shared this info to one of my mommy friends and we decided that we should just schedule cuddling and smelling days separately. If we wanted to cuddle, we will use Avon Baby, and if we wanted to smell our babies, we will just use the other brand 😀 Or maybe we should start getting used to our baby’s natural smell?
Avon Baby is a great product for keeping babies fresh for a longer period of time, it is perfect for humid weather, and promotes lots of cuddling from mommies 🙂 Although you need to use more of the product, it is a sulit buy because baby feels comfy and clean longer. You will really see and feel the huge difference. Highly recommended!
