Fox Eye Thread Lift at Luminisce Skin Clinic

This is my experience of the fox eye thread lift at Luminisce Skin Clinic, under the care of Dra. Kaycee Reyes.

Why I decided to get this procedure: My brows are getting heavier (lower) as I age. This makes my already big forehead even more spacious. My eyes, nose, and mouth look like they are all cramped in the lower half of my face.

The state of my eyes in 2020 reflects the sadness and stress of the pandemic we’re in!

My upper eyelids are getting thicker because of extra skin (an effect of having heavy eyebrows?). This makes my lower eyelids almost non-existent because they’re being covered by my heavy eyelids. As you can see, it’s a domino effect situation that we have here.

A few years back, I can still make do with drawing an upwards eyebrow or do a lifting cat-eye liner. As the brow lowers further and the eyelids heavier, makeup just makes it all worse (I’m not a makeup artist) and gives me a dirty face look.

Solution 1: Radiofrequency

I tried 1 round of radio frequency treatment in the eye area also at Luminisce. It’s bearable but not a comfortable experience. The effect was minimal because I only tried it for 1 session. I prefer botox.

Solution 2: Botox or Neurotoxin Injections

Before fox eye thread lift, I got botox for the outer corners of my eyes. It really gave a refreshing lift to my eyebrows (finally they are at the same level haha) but not so much on the eyelids. I guess it also depends on the amount of botox you will get.

Botox injections last from 3-6 months only. Here are the results of my botox last January:

Botox can make a significant difference to sagging, drooping eyelids and eyebrows and it also depends on the number of units you will be injected with.

Solution 3: Fox Eye Thread Lift

Now here we are at the most exciting part! 3 weeks after botox, Dra. Kaycee Reyes educated me about Fox Eye Thread Lift. The minimally invasive procedure uses PDO threads. The threads are inserted below the skin to lift and support the eyebrows and eyelids.

Is it painful? Between 1-10, the discomfort is at 5. More important is the ability and skills of your doctor, as well as your safety. Make sure you are getting this procedure from a real, reputable, and highly-skilled doctor. The procedure involves local anesthesia with a downtime of 1 week in my case. The downtime issue is more on slight bruising and swelling.

I went home straight after the procedure and my family did not even notice the slight swelling and bruising!

Here is the most rewarding part, my before and after:

My skin also improved because I restarted my skincare regimen and restocked on all my skin essentials from Luminisce.

The picture does not give fox eye thread lift enough justice. My eyes look even better in person.

Here’s another before and after I made to see the difference. Look at how much my eyelids were lifted!

I no longer use eyeliner. Drawing my eyebrows is a breeze since they are now in position I started to enjoy putting makeup on my lower eyelids because of the space this procedure created.

Best of all, I feel great about myself because I finally look like me! Here’s a photo 2 weeks after the procedure when I blew my 36th birthday candle.

Fresh is the word. Thank you Dra. Kaycee Reyes!

Conclusion:

Fox eye thread lift can last from 6 months to 1 year. It depends on your activities, lifestyle, genes, etc. For me, it is the BEST solution to this eyebrow and eyelid sagging problem that I’ve been managing for quiet some time. I can’t wait to do it again as long as it’s Dra. Kaycee Reyes who will do the procedure. She gets busier with increasing patients so just book ahead of time.

Here’s another photo of how happy I am post-treatment. My husband and I are celebrating our 11th anniversary!

It is also VERY affordable and almost the same price of getting botox injections. I cannot publish the price but you can ask your doctor or research Luminisce Skin Clinic in BGC where I had my Fox Eye Thread Lift done.

There are 2 types of eyebrow thread lifts, mine used the PDO threads which is absorbed over time. The second is the cog or mono thread (please research to validate) that lasts longer but also takes longer to heal.

I might need to choose the second option next time for longer-lasting results because I love the results so much!

A note on blepheroplasty: I was eyeing this surgical procedure before Fox Eye Thread Lift. I’m really thankful that Luminisce educated me on alternatives that are less invasive. I will reserve getting this procedure as I age.
