Headphones for Children Review

It’s not yet Christmas but my 5 year old received two headphones already. I guess headphones for children are one of the trendy Christmas gifts this year. We can’t help it, iPads and tablets are a fixture in our children’s lives.

My son Ashton loves watching toy reviews and Hobby Kids TV on YouTube from time to time. I appreciate the headphones when I let him watch on his iPad while I watch TV (On The Wings of Love) and want to focus on Clark & Leah’s dialogue.

In case you’d like to buy a specialty kids headphone or headset, here is my review to help:

1. Onanoff Buddy Phones Headphones for Children P1,200 – this is the first headphone Ashton received. The design is very simple but it has an interesting decibel limiting feature. This headphone wants to focus on saving kids ears from loud volumes (over 85 decibels).

Its cable also allows sharing with the built-in audio splitter.

2. Coloud Boom Kids Headphones for Children P1,495 – this trendy and cool looking headset features a built-in volume control that allows parents to adjust the maximum volume for their kids. Like Onanoff, the cables are also flat to avoid tangling.

I really like the color and style of this headphones, if your child or inaanak (godson or goddaughter) likes to look cool then this Coloud Boom Kids Headphones is for them. My son looks like a teenager wearing this headphones:

One thing that this headphone has that Onanoff doesn’t is the built-in mic. If your child is or will use apps like Skype or video messenger then consider this feature when choosing a headphone. For younger kids 4 below, I don’t think they will need the mic feature yet.

I saw the Coloud Boom Kids headphones being sold in Beyond the Box, Century Mall. I was there to checkout the Momax Selfie Tripod (to use for recording exercises/workouts from the gym). My husband told me about it, you can attach an existing selfie stick to the tripod to give it feet and stand on its own.

Do check the store and ask about other 2015 Beyond the Box (Digits Trading) best sellers to help you grab the best gifts for your family and friends, don’t forget your inaanaks too!
