Home and Living: Mommy Money Matters

Hi! Mommies, the new year brings in new hope in terms of finances and opportunities. I don’t like to sound like a feng shui master but what I know is that this is the perfect year to grab opportunities to earn more. Most moms I know have made a living online as virtual assistants, some as online bookkeepers accepting accounting jobs, professional bloggers, or online merchants. Women are unstoppable when they put their mind and hearts into earning. It could be earning for yourself, your children, or for your entire family.

Last year, I’ve earned fairly well with projects as a digital marketing consultant and as a professional blogger. I am thankful that I have enough to start my own business which has nothing to do with the Internet. Also lucky to have a very supporting husband who takes care of our needs (and wants too!).

Though I’ve always been financially independent or in other terms, I enjoy having my own savings, earn my own money, and make more of it. It just makes me feel more secure and accomplished. Putting up my own shop was painful on my personal bank account, it was also a head-splitting decision, and until now I feel a lot of uncertainty. Being positive is highly advised by my peers though. Personally I know that not taking risks will leave anyone with no returns, it’s as good as burying your money on the ground.

What I like thinking about is how everything in my new venture would settle in time, and unlike now that I am running around like a headless chicken, my venture would actually give me even more financial freedom and time for my family sooner than I think 🙂

Where do you put your savings, have you invested in some bank products or businesses?
