Money-Saving Buys at Saizen by Daiso

Saizen opened it’s newest branch at Robinson’s Place Manila and like a true blue cooking mama, I headed to the store to find kitchen treasures for just P85. Everything at Saizen is sold at this price, no questions asked. All products are made for Daiso Japan, the mother of Saizen. The newest concept store is almost an exact match of Daiso stores in other countries such as in Singapore so expect a myriad of great finds, Japanese style.

As always, I only selected things I need and those that would help me save.

For the kitchen:

Spatula, I purchased some recently from another store and accidentally melted them with chocolates! Unless they are heat-proof, don’t use silicone spatulas for cooking.

PA019565

Cooking sheet, I often use wax paper because we still have it but always wanted to switch because wax paper leaves a bit of foul taste when used in baking. This one seems to be similar to parchment paper instead.

Tempura ladle and I brought prawns for this week’s menu 🙂

PA019561

Dumpling maker because I also plan to learn how to make them for my family, instead of buying. Note below how I already learned to cook my other favorite, Sukiyaki.

PA019560

Cookie cutters for when I bake my signature chewy cookies at home. Now they’ll come in these cute shapes 🙂

PA019559

Whipped cream and icing dispenser, I don’t have one and I don’t know how to use a piping bag. I also think this is more environment friendly for being re-usable.

Organizers:

PA019568

3-tiered mesh organizer that is perfect for toddler’s toys.

PA019562

Animal clips, to keep more food leftovers fresh like chips, powdered ingredients, and baby food.

Me and my mom color our hair at home which saves us so much money. She also helps me trim my hair so this cape would be very handy for us.

A big tub of liquid hand soap for just P85!

There are plenty of money-saving items you can find at Saizen, even ingredients for Japanese dishes like Tonkatsu and Katsudon sauces. Be sure to bring your green bag when shopping! 🙂 Visit the newest Saizen by Daiso store at the first level of Padre Faura Wing at Robinson’s Place Manila.
