Sheraton Manila Buffet

S Kitchen at the Sheraton Manila Hotel is the newest buffet restaurant in Resorts World Manila. Rates start at P2,888 (Sunday-Thursday for Lunch and Dinner) and P3,200 for the Gourmet Dinner buffet every Friday to Saturday.

Buffet hours for lunch is 12PM to 3PM and 6PM to 10PM for dinner. It is recommended to come in smart casual.

S KITCHEN BUFFET AMBIANCE

S Kitchen is located at the ground floor of Sheraton Manila Hotel in Resorts World Manila. If you take the lobby entrance, you will be greeted by the inviting ambiance of Sheraton Manila. The hotel’s exceptionally designed space leading to S Kitchen sets the tone for a casual yet luxurious dining experience.

S Kitchen itself has sleek interiors and is known for its uncluttered live buffet stations. The dining area is spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating options whether dining for two or bigger groups. Tables have an elegant and crisp setup, the seats are plush, and there is ample space for sitting down and up. With the weather nowadays, air conditioning is an important factor to the dining experience and S Kitchen found the right spot where it’s not warm but not too cold. Soft piped-in music and a jazz duo performing by 7PM at the lounge, seals the restaurant’s five star atmosphere. Diners are relaxed, settled, and calm.

S Kitchen Buffet Review

Sheraton Manila’s buffet at S Kitchen features international, local, and vegan friendly cuisine. Notable food options include:

  • Hydroponic garden salad
  • Foie gras (duck liver)
  • Fresh seafood that you can hand pick and ask to be cooked to your liking (grilled, sauteed, steamed, or fried).
  • Seafood options include crabs, mussels, clams, prawns, squid, and fish (oysters can be had at special pricing)
  • Fresh meat that you can also hand pick and have cooked to your preference
  • Meat options include premium steaks, barbecues, beef, pork, and chicken
  • Carving station
  • Japanese station that serves fresh sashimi (salmon and tuna) and a good selection of sushi
  • Other Asian and Filipino signature dishes are also on offer
  • There’s an entire section in the restaurant dedicated to desserts. It is a wonderland of cakes, pastries, made to order crepes, and thick, creamy ice-cream among many others.

Quality versus quantity rings true to S Kitchen’s buffet spread. All the dishes I tried were farm to table fresh and were exquisitely cooked. No dishes ever sent back to the kitchen nor left untouched on our table. Everything was excellent. Here are the dishes that satisfied our palette:

Live Cooking Stations

The fresh seafood and meat buffet are the most photographed areas at S Kitchen. Not only is the experience of picking your own crab to enjoy a novelty, but also seeing the chefs and kitchen crew transform these ingredients into wonderful dishes.

You can ask for your meat or seafood to be grilled, sauteed, steamed, or fried in different flavors – garlic butter, spicy garlic butter, or without anything. Even I am not sure about the recipe I wanted so I asked for assistance from S Kitchen’s staff to help me decide. Your seafood of choice together with your order of cooking will be taken to the kitchen and conveniently delivered to your table.

Beverages

Mocktails and cocktails flow at S Kitchen, included in the Gourmet weekend buffet. Other free-flowing cold drinks include apple juice and hot beverages are also on the buffet menu like coffee and tea. Beverages could be an area of improvement only because we lacked information on the options available. A drinks menu would be nice and iced tea is a welcome addition. The absence of a menu prodded me to order just plain coffee. Was there latte or cappuccino? Not sure. However, the staff recommended coffee or tea at the end of the meal and we enjoyed a nice pot of high quality green tea.

S Kitchen Customer Service

S Kitchen has a very high servers to customer ratio which is quiet rare in this post-pandemic age. Restaurant staff are highly visible from every corner and are focused on their diner’s needs. You will seldom see customers flailing their hands up or anxiously waiting to be attended to. Perhaps this is what five star service truly looks like.

I didn’t notice the wait time for their made-to-order seafood and meat, everything came at the right time for us. Plus, there’s so much to enjoy before your main course.

Impressive Casual Dining with Five Star Service at Affordable Pricing

At P2,888-P3,200, Sheraton Manila’s S Kitchen surprisingly goes beyond expectations and is excellent value for money. Compared to other hotel buffets, their price is at the middle but their food and service are truly five-star. S Kitchen’s ambiance and level of service sets them apart.

S Kitchen is a surprising gem that will impress.
