SM: Filipinos trust brands that speak their language

A brand that speaks the language of its customers will receive the trust it deserves. This has been the mantra of the country’s largest chain of malls, SM Supermalls. Now that I am a mother, I start to appreciate the services of SM supermalls from making shopping to paying bills a lot more easy and convenient.

When my son was younger, I always looked forward to using SM’s breastfeeding room. This allowed me to go out and enjoy a simple family time at the mall without sacrificing my baby’s breastfeeding needs.

Just yesterday, I feel so accomplished paying our electric bill, credit card bill, doing the grocery, and picking up tools at ACE hardware to fix some parts of our house.

For 30 years now, the mall has been making continuous innovations and improvements based on customer feedback, behavior and demands. One of the best improvements for me although not new – is the Prestige lane which saves me a lot of time from lining up and at the same time, encourage me to earn shopping points through SM Advantage.

The result of these improvements has been phenomenal thus far as proven by thick crowds that converge everytime a new SM mall opens. Check out our experience in the new SM City Trece Martires.

“We make an experience out of shopping, dining and entertainment. We work with the best local and global brands to make them not just accessible to Filipinos here at home, but affordable as well,” said Ms. Annie S. Garcia, SM Supermalls President.

Thus far, SM has 56 malls nationwide and has brought international brands never before offered in the Philippine market.

SM also associates its customers’ loyalty to the company’s strong recognition for inclusion. “I think our customers are now more aware of our efforts to make SM the mall for all,” shared by Ms. Garcia. “We are, first and foremost, a family mall that does not discriminate. At the same time, we are also aware of our obligations as responsible citizens of communities where we operate.”

My niece Anya uses a wheelchair and her favorite mall while in the Philippines is SM Aura.

This accessibility to everyone is elevated by the mall’s support for the causes and welfare of various groups and individuals composed of persons with disabilities (PWDs), women, children, and senior citizens.
