The Alley Ayala Malls Food Hall You Can Experience
It was a weekday (Friday) when we dined at The Alley food hall for lunch. They accept walk-ins or you can book a table in advance through their website, Facebook, or phone. Unlike most mid-range buffet places, there were no lines when we arrived at The Alley – it is the same for their other branches such as The Alley in BGC.
We were quickly let in and was given the chance to pick our preferred seats. There are plenty of options. The Alley has an impressive layout that can accommodate guests dining individually, with family, friends, coworkers, or for a small celebration.
The Alley is a recommended food hall you can experience for small or big groups, couples, families, or tourists looking for a memorable foodie adventure that will not disappoint.
The vibe at The Alley is worthy of praise. It is casual, stress-free, and relaxed but with the good customer service. Diners can take their own pace, there’s a lot of space to walk around.
Good conversations at the table contribute to the dining experience and at The Alley, the ambiance is conducive for conversing with family & friends.
The Alley Food Hall – Kiosks and Food Choices
The Alley Food Hall has at least 15 kiosks to choose from. It truly is a food adventure when selecting a dish feels like window shopping. Each kiosk has a live kitchen, adding another level to your foodie experience. Kiosks are self-serve and self-order. Cook-to-order dishes like steaks are brought to your table, take note of your table number.

- Yatai – Japanese section offers hand cut sashimi like tuna and salmon, variety of sushi, katsu’s, tempura, and more.
- La Sap – Favorite Filipino dishes with a gourmet twist
- Frituen Batsoy – Crispy Pata, Bagnet, Lechon and other fusion pinoy food
- Nords Coffee Bar – My favorite kiosk where you can order a selection of coffee drinks, freshly made by a barista: cappuccino, latte, americano and more.
- Antipasto Blvd – Appetizers and salads
- Just Steak A Minute – beef, lamb and chicken roasts and steaks
- Ocean Eleven – Seafood, I like the baked oyster, paella and Tahong (steamed mussels)
- Lost and Pound- Burger sliders, chicken wings, nachos, and other comfort food
- Honeycomb – Desserts like ice cream, soda, drinks
Street Wok – Korean dishes like japchae, spicy squid, spicy chicken and bulgogi - Bibingka and Puto Bumbong station – The title says it all. Expect this kiosk to be the busiest this Christmas season!

What We Liked & Recommendations
My son liked the Italian food offered at Buono like the baked bell peppers and pasta dishes, a selection of food from Lost and Pound for sliders and fries, and the Filipino dishes at La Sap such as the Bagnet Kare-Kare and Adobo rice. Kids appreciate the ice cream selection that included a fun bubble gum flavor. I like that someone is tending the icecream bar and scoops the icecream for diner, it is safer and more sanitary this way. Plus, it’s more accessible for smaller kids. My son said their bubble gum ice cream reminded him of his trip to Australia.
Nords Coffee Bar won me for their café choices. I asked for an Americano with a splash of fresh milk. Served fresh and hot like it would be in a specialty coffee shop. The interaction with the barista, to learn about their café menu and share my preferences from the size of my mug to the amount of dairy, is also a pleasant experience you won’t normally get at a mid-range buffet. When it comes to food, I liked their Japanese and Korean section that satisfied my cravings for salmon sashimis, sushi, tempura, bulgogi, japchae, and many more! The Alley has something for everyone looking for their favorite comfort food.
My husband ate too much that I can’t remember all of it haha! What I do remember are the dishes we shared like the baked mussels or tahong and a Mediterranean lamb dish from Just Steak a Minute. He also ventured to the Kegz kiosk where a pink cocktail was recommended. It was a pretty and tasty cocktail that is a toast to our happy food adventure at The Alley.

Overall, the Alley by Vikings is an ideal choice for enjoying a buffet and food hall experience with family or friends. It’s not always the quantity but the quality and thrilling food choices that make for a memorable meal. The Alley satisfied our diverse cravings and provided a comfortable dining experience. We do not regret spending our precious family time at The Alley.
