First thanks to Mongol Crayons for hosting this fun and very kid friendly event. When I read that Ashton will play at Gymboree (Manila Polo Club), I was excited because I’ve been wanting to enroll him to a Level 2 class. We arrived on time and I filed a leave for work so Ashton gets to play worry-free.
It was also the first time I introduced crayons to him, Mongol crayons to be exact – now better and easier to blend. At first, Ashton did not show interest and wanted to play instead of color.
But not after a minute, he started picking up his favorite hues – red, pink, and blue. The kids had a template to color, even a house that can be painted by crayons. Very creative and it gave me lots of ideas on how to introduce art to my little boy.I know Mongol created pencils, never used any other brand when I was in school. I remember buying Mongol Pencils at P5 each whenever I forget to put one in my pencil case. It’s just now I learnt they have crayons too.
I did test the crayons during the event and I can’t remember when was the last time I used crayons. One thing for sure, crayons have improved in texture and in smell. I get sticky fingers then but now crayons don’t feel sticky nor smelly. It has a smooth texture on paper so coloring is more fun. No more the rough crayons I knew of. Lucky kids these days they’ll be more inspired to color their world!
And to further the kiddielets imagination, it was time for a Gymboree session. Parachute and bubbles! Ashton and I enjoyed singing and clapping for the arrival of Gymbo. Then I overheard a kid say “he’s not real” ahaha 🙂 The Gymboree experience is making me decide to get a once a week session for little Ash.
The event was also well-attended by celebrity moms and kids. Spotted were Tessa Prieto with kids, Bernadette Alison with kids, Ruffa with Lorin and Venice, Nino Mulach and wife with kid. Then there’s Ashton and me! 🙂 We had tonnes of fun really and traffic was kind so no troubles traveling. I wish Ashton and I can spend more time and bonding moments like this. Looking forward to our next adventure and we’re excited to use his new Mongol Crayons!
Ashton poured all his energy and it was also hot in Gymboree because of a busted aircon unit.
