Home and Living: Cleaning Tile Floors

If you feel like your tile floors are perpetually dusty and sticky, you are not alone. I was starting to get frustrated on how many times I’ve scrubbed on all fours yet my flooring easily gets dirt and grime. Surrendering is not an option to a neat-freak like I am, especially when it is my baby who’ll be soon crawling around these tiles.

I wish we have Rubbermaid Reveal!

My sister who’s the next Martha Stewart advised me via Skype to use a rubber maid mop. As I am excited to purchase it later on at ACE hardware, I did an image search and guess what – there are different types of mops! I have to admit, I am not as domesticated as I thought.

Here are a couple of tips I came by when it comes to cleaning tile floors

1. Sweep floor prior to mopping – otherwise it’ll become a muddy business!

2. Use warm water in a bucket to damp the mop with – no need to use harsh chemicals

I also plan to use the floor polisher my mom uses for her laminated floors like what I see in pergo. It is a bit heavy but the glossy finish seem to last longer and repel dust.
