If you do not have a shopping rewards card yet, you’re missing lots of valuable pesos! At first I too was lazy applying for membership cards that allowed me to earn points like SM Advantage, Mercury Drug Suki Card, and the BDO rewards card. You’d think you will only accumulate negligible amounts, perhaps you think you are not spending that much.
Well, be a smarty pants mommy and earn while you shop. I am sure you know how these cards work, every price you pay at the counter has corresponding points. The points can be used for shopping, just swipe your rewards card or give them to the cashier. It feels the same as using Dell coupons or an Orbitz coupon abroad.

With BDO rewards, every bank transaction earns points that you can also use for shopping! When I was pregnant, I have The Medical City Partner Card and earned points for every procedure. I was able to use the points to pay for my breast ultrasound 🙂

What do I use my rewards points for? Of course to give myself a reward too! I use them to shop for clothes, bags and shoes that I normally won’t buy with real money (because I am a thrifty mom). I also check Orbitz and find out how much airline tickets are, maybe I can even use the points for travel!
Now mommies like us can shop without the guilt. Don’t you think it’s a good idea?
