Home & Living: Philips GuideLight Bug for your Kid

Are you afraid of the dark? I am, and I’m already a mommy. What more with our kids especially babies who want to see mommy at once when interrupted at sleep.

Continuing with my toys feature for Christmas, here’s another one for keeps (though not really a toy). My husband saw this last night while looking for ipod nano headphones and got it for Ashton.

It’s a Philips GuideLight Bug with a lady bug design. “Your friendly light in the night”.

Cool because it has a motion sensor and is cordless and portable.

I can imagine how Ashton and I can play with it already, how cute can this night light get? You have to charge it for 24 hours during the first use.

When it is put on the charger/stand, it will softly light up when someone passes in front of it or when you wave your hand. Actually, any action can trigger it but the light will only last for around 20 seconds. If you want to keep the light on then simply remove the lady bug from the charger.

Online, I saw there’s also a bumblebee design. Philips GuideLight Bug is around Php 1,000
