Luminisce Skin Clinic brings Dermablate Fractional Laser to Treat Acne Scars, Rough Skin, Fine Lines with Minimum Downtime

Is having smoother, even-toned skin without unsightly marks and scars (including deep acne scars) on your Christmas wish list? Now is the time to achieve your skin goals in time for the holidays.

If you’re like me who has struggled with rough skin, large pores, and lingering acne scars, we know how unflattering they can make our face look. No amount of make-up can cover unwanted lesions especially ice-pick scars. Good lighting and camera filters help but there’s a better solution – fractional laser.

Dra. Kaycee Reyes-Bacani  introduces a new breakthrough laser treatment, and it’s a favorite among experts worldwide because of its precision, zero-pain procedure, and impressive clinical results.

Fractional lasers have a reputation of being very effective in rejuvenating and renewing the skin. But it is also known to have a very long and sometimes, painful downtime. This is not the case with the new Dermablate (MCL31 Dermablate by Ascelpion Laser Technologies to be precise). The latest in skin laser technology is now closer to us as Luminisce recently launched it in one of their clinics, Luminisce Podium. I know research is important before investing in another skin treatment, here’s how it works.

WATCH: How Does the MCL31 Dermablate Work?

Dermablate uses Er;YAG laser technology, which expertly penetrates through the epidermis and dermis without damaging the skin surface. The laser works at a wavelength of 2930, which is the maximum peak of water absorption. Since the laser targets the water—which is the main component of the skin—skin damage from the heat transfer is avoided. The laser energy is used precisely for the vaporization of water in the tissue.

Almost any area of the face and body can be treated with Dermablate. The actual procedure usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated. A topical anesthesia may be used on sensitive patients or as requested, but is usually not required as there is zero to
minimal pain involved.

WATCH: Actual Dermablate Procedure Step-by-Step

If you watched my short video, you’ll understand how straight-forward, simple yet precise, and painless the Luminisce Dermablate is. Not shown in the video is my “healing time” so let me share it with you now. After the procedure, I asked for a face mask because it made my skin reddish as if I went to the beach and was freshly sunburnt. There was a slight warm sensation for a few hours but after taking a mild painkiller, I felt like nothing happened.

I got my treatment at the Luminisce Podium, I love their location because I was able to stroll in the mall (with a face mask) and even have a dinner date with my husband. Day 2-3 there were laser marks on my face and every time I wash my face, old skin gently peeled away. The peeling was micro peeling unlike other treatments that would give you a “raw” look, Dermablate looked like digital peeling and by that I mean, almost virtual fast. I did not look like a zombie but every day I can see new, more rejuvenated, scar-free skin!

It was only my first treatment, in fact – if I’m not too critical of my skin, I think one treatment would do but I want to see what happens when I get another round of Dermablate done. According to Dra. Kaycee Reyes, patients can already see visible improvement in terms of tone, texture, and elasticity after each treatment, and these will only become more palpable as they receive further treatment. Dermablate may be done once every two weeks for up to 10 sessions during the treatment phase, and once every four to the six weeks as maintenance.
