Most mobile apps are heavily dependent on the Internet, especially when it comes to ordering and payment of services. Gaming Realms claims that the advancements in faster 4G mobile data has changed the landscape of Internet, offering an ultrafast connection for portable devices. The developer of online slot platform, Pocketfruity added that there has been a 70% increase in global mobile data, which means the consumer is now using mobile as a platform to carry out most of their daily chores.

So, businesses, including coffee shops are now working to include mobile technology in their services to offer a convenient, efficient, and fast service while at the same time cutting operating costs.

In this post, we will highlight some of the top coffee shops in the Philippines that offer mobile apps for their stores.

Starbucks

One of the most popular coffee shops in the country is Starbucks, with 164 active stores and counting. Their mobile app comes with plenty of features, with order and reward services that allow users to place their order, pay wirelessly, and customize where and when to pick up the order without waiting in line. Users can even discover the song playing in the local Starbucks and download the song before leaving the shop.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

US-based The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s (CBTL) official app allows users to create their own custom drinks, including their signature beverages. It comes with a store locator that works with the Windows Phone’s built-in HERE app, and features specific facilities of its stores: free Wi-Fi, Drive-Thru and more. CBTL PH management is still working on bringing the US-focused iOS and Android apps to the country. In fact, we were surprised that the WP app was available in the Philippines, as it seems most of the users are from the US and the UK.

Many foreign coffee shops have extended their service to the Philippines, such as British coffee brand Costa Coffee which also comes with an app alternative in the UK.

Thus, keep your ear to the ground for more multinational brands venturing to the Philippines in the not too distant future.
